Vibrant Foothills - Exhibit Submission
Not a traditional first artist exhibit submission! We are asking you to be part of our marketing launch over the summer and have space to show in our first ever exhibit, including being part of our grand opening evening on Friday September 25th.
While gathering inspirations, or out in the community sketching or working on your piece, we ask that you interact with the public about what you are doing. Bringing the practice and process of Art to Life within the community.
Explain that the piece will be on exhibit at The Fig, a new, multifunctional art space in town, opening September.
Overview: The foothills community is filled with history, excitement, beauty and community. This exhibit aims to showcase local artists interpretation of our community’s vibrancy.
Medium - open
Subject - open, just reflect the foothills community (people, landscape, history, etc)
Size restrictions - max size 36"w x 60"t (traditional canvas or print) or 10" base x 30" height (sculpture)
Timelines:
Registration to be part of this project / exhibit - April 20 - May 1
*12 artists will be chosen - chosen based on first come basis
Piece to be produced - May 15 - Aug 15
(artists will be compensated $100 for materials and travel costs based on their subject location)
*should artists need support with locations if they are inspired by somewhere they need permission to be we will support
